Local Service, Done Right

If you've noticed rust-colored water when you first turn on the tap, or your shower pressure has gradually dropped to a trickle — your home's age is catching up with its plumbing. Downtown Las Vegas holds the valley's oldest residential housing. Neighborhoods like John S. Park, Huntridge, and Beverly Green date to the 1940s through 1960s, with original galvanized steel supply lines and cast iron drain systems still in service in many homes. The 18b Arts District has added converted lofts and newer infill, but the underlying infrastructure — including shared sewer laterals — often dates to the original subdivision plats. Mature elms and shade trees along these established streets send roots straight into aging cast iron sewer joints.

Here's what BowTie handles across Downtown Las Vegas:

  • Pipe repair & repiping — full repiping of galvanized supply lines with PEX-A, routed through accessible paths to minimize wall openings in historic homes
  • Water heaters — tank and tankless replacement with anode-rod checks, properly sized for updated layouts during renovations
  • Faucet & leak repair — cartridge replacement, hidden-leak detection behind plaster and lath walls, and fixture restoration for vintage and modern hardware alike
  • Sewer & drain service — camera inspections to find root intrusion in cast iron laterals, hydro-jetting to clear decades of buildup, and trenchless replacement when pipe walls are compromised
  • Heating repair & maintenance — furnace diagnostics, heat-exchanger inspection for units that may be 30+ years old, ignitor replacement, and pre-season tune-ups
  • Water purification — free water testing, whole-house softeners to protect new and existing pipe, and reverse-osmosis drinking systems

Every visit starts with a diagnosis, not a sales pitch. You'll get a flat-rate quote before any work begins, and our Champagne Club members lock in priority scheduling, repair discounts, and annual system inspections. That's the BowTie Touch — shoe covers, drop cloths, a clean site when we leave, and zero surprises on the invoice.

Your Downtown Las Vegas home deserves better than a guess. Let us diagnose it properly.

What Neighbors Say

"The gentleman was extremely professional, friendly, and efficient. We had another plumber come in previously and he was going to break through the wall behind our stove and not fix the wall afterwards. He was going to charge $1250.00. Your man did just the spout for $250.00 and it works beautifully. Loved the name of your company, and the service."

Dorothy Flanagan

"Excellent company to do business with. Would definitely recommend. They replaced my water heater. Called them in the morning. Hot water by the evening. Thank you to Kyle, Reid and the rest of their team."

UT Bros

"Bow Tie Home Services gave excellent service installing our toilet. The company responded immediately and understood what was needed. Joe came over and assessed what was needed, picked up the toilet from Lowe's, and installed it with ease. Thank you, Joe and Chris who took the call!"

Downtown Las Vegas, NV Service Questions

Why does my Huntridge home have such low water pressure?

Homes built in the 1940s–1960s along the Downtown corridor typically have galvanized steel supply lines. After 60-plus years of Las Vegas hard water, those pipes are heavily corroded inside — restricting flow and producing rust-colored water. Repiping with PEX-A restores full pressure and eliminates the discoloration.

Can you repipe my historic Downtown home without tearing out walls?

In most cases, yes. We route new PEX-A lines through accessible paths — attics, utility chases, and under the slab where needed — and minimize drywall openings. For homes undergoing a full renovation, we coordinate with your general contractor for a complete replumb.

How bad is root intrusion in Downtown sewer lines?

Significant. Downtown's mature trees — especially the large shade trees along Park Paseo and surrounding streets — send roots into cast iron pipe joints. We use camera inspection to assess the damage, then clear roots with hydro-jetting or recommend trenchless replacement when the pipe is structurally compromised.

Should I replace my water heater during a renovation?

If your water heater is more than eight years old, replacement during a renovation is the most cost-effective timing. We can right-size the unit for your updated layout and install a water softener loop at the same time to protect the new equipment from scale.

Do Arts District lofts have different plumbing needs?

Loft conversions in the 18b district often reuse portions of the original building's plumbing. We inspect existing drain stacks and supply risers, replace what's degraded, and verify that water pressure and drain slope meet current code for the new layout.
